"He sees you when you're sleeping, he knows when you're awake; he knows when you've been bad or good, so be good for goodness sake!"
Every child who celebrates Christmas, knows this saying. This saying is legend. But really not for what you think. Let's be honest. LOL.
Moms use this saying to get their kids to behave and to scare the beejeesus out of them. As moms, we could have our kids shaking in their boots if we have to say these words to them day in and day out!
Instead of making ourselves look or feel bad, we throw Santa under the bus! Let's use the old guy to keep our kids in line. Should someone be calling therapists on this one?
So, who really has all the power? Is it the old guy in the red suit or the women who strap on their boots everyday and dive into the trenches?
Santa comes only once a year ( cause let's face it - he couldn't handle the chaos). We Moms are here, whether we want to or not.
I say we deserve to be given a medal for all we do! So, I raise my glass to all the Moms out there! We are so much smarter than Santa!!
