So last week, I went to the Bon Jovi concert at MetLife stadium in East Rutherford N.J. with my friend Liza. When she first asked me, I did not hesitate to go because I had not seen my future husband (Bon Jovi) for quite some time. LOL.
If you are in your forties, you could sooo relate to this. Jon Bon Jovi is a God. The man does not age and I want to drink whatever Kool aid he is. As he started playing, I watched him on the screen and daydreamed that he was just singing to me. I grew up in East Brunswick and Jon grew up in Sayreville, which is the next town. I think because of that, I feel he belongs to me. He used to play in these dives around town, but anyone who saw him, knew he would make it big!! It gives us "regular" people the belief that if you follow your dreams, stuff will happen. I am STILL waiting and the crap is growing around me! As I looked around me, I saw other women my age reacting the same way! Then this thought came to me - to get through the day and chaos of our lives, we daydream about a beautiful man to come and take us away.
That keeps us sane so we don't kill the kids(and the husband). So, ladies I say LET"S KEEP DREAMING! Jon Bon Jovi - I'm waiting by the phone.
